I made this card today at my DM's house. We were out today and she picked up some silk flowers for us to experiment with. I showed her the faux wood grain, and this is what I came up with.
I made it for the F4A challenge -- think big.
My silk flowers were white, but I went over them w/yellow and orange ink. The bg is swiss dot on green that I ran through the cuttlebug using a leaf folder. It's kind of hard to see, but I went over the raised area w/a dark green pencil. The lace "table cloth" was made with a Martha Stewart punch. The wood box is some scrap that I showed my mom the tech. on. I added orange gems and ribbon to finish it off.
Thanks for looking!

How fun for you to be able to stamp with your mom..I wish I had someone close by to share techniques with. Your BIG flowers are lovely..I like how you added the yellow and orange to give them depth and the gem in the middle. Cute "little" bow for your lacy border

Geni, your card turned out so good. I love the orange oval gems, in the flower centers, and you remembered to add leaves. I forgot to add them to mine, L,O,L. Your card, is very pretty. tfs.
