I wanted to make a card for one of my sisters who just got laid off and needs to decide what to do with her life now. I'm going to give her the card with a box of chocolate truffles as the two will go together so well!
I decided to try this week's Color Challenge as I had some dp I really liked that matched Crushed Curry in colour, and of course I have grey ink. But I had a challenge with the Coastal Cabana colour as I don't buy SU inks or papers. I wanted to do a background for the sentiment with Distress inks and water splatters, so tried various Distress inks - got close to the curry colour but then my blue one came out too blue for Coastal Cabana so then tried Bundled Sage up in the top right of the sentiment panel - it looks pretty close to Coastal Cabana so hope it's okay. I edged both the sentiment panel and the dp with Distress Tea Dye to emphasis the curry colour and I stamped the sentiment with grey ink and bordered it with dark grey cs.

You are a kind and loving sister. I really like this card The bg is great, and I like the way you subtly used the colors on the sentiment or main panel. I wish her luck finding another job.

great card and I love the sentiment-a thoughtful card for your sister-check out Beckyte's card-she dyed some seam binding using a combo of distress stains-bundled sage and tumbled glass-it was right on for coastal cabana
