Decided to try the mixed media challenge since I have a bit of creativity slump. Made the background according to the video using Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint and Northern Pine Memento then brushed lightly two times with gesso. After it dried I sponged more Northern Pine on the edges and corners. I lightly airbrushed white cardstock since my sponging seemed to get very sloppy lately and stamped my favorite new stamp from kitchensink stamps, pine trees. Embossed in gold the sentiment from Technique Tuesday. Fun, fast and easy.

Beautiful BG, and the stitching really enhances it! That's one gorgeous pine tree stamp, and you framed it wonderfully!

Your gesso and distress ink background is fabulous! I've done some of the Mixability challenges as I like the idea of mixed media - I just find it very hard to do!!

This is just beautiful! The background is so perfect with the image. I have several pine tree stamps, but this looks like it may be the perfect one! The stitching is fabulous! Love this card!
