This card was a labor of love. I confess.. I get choked up when I hear the "Star Spangle Banner".
I did some free hand with the banner stripes. That red wanted to run all over the place. The USA tag was computer generated and those tiny stars were from a cuttlebug snowflake die. I also used some white 3D paint to give the white feathers some texture.
This is my inspiration piece. http://www.shopthomaspaul.com/ANNIVE...c-0305-red.htm

I am with you Gail, anything patriotic causes me to tear up; and the older I get, the worse I get! Fabulous patriotic card. I really love your use of all the dies.

FREE HAND???? Oh my gosh that is amazing...difficult red and all. I couldn't freehand my way out of a paper bag!!! This is one of the most beautiful patriotic cards I have ever seen...your details ROCK!!! The die you framed the eagle with is absolutely wonderful and you have those edges I have been lusting after and they are the perfect finish to this awesome card...
