This is my first posting! I LOVE this site. I saw the tutorial for the faux metal and wanted to try it. I was having trouble coming up with a birthday card for my husband, and I thought this technique would be perfect. I think this technique is great for masculine cards.

Welcome to SCS and Congrats on your first post! This card is FANTASTIC!! Your husband will love it! Great job on the faux metal! I haven't done that technique yet. TFS! Can't wait to see more of your work!

Your metal looks "aged" - a green hint to it. Did you do that somehow or is it just the scan? looks incredible!

Thanks for all the great comments! The faux metal is just gold embossing powder. My new scanner doesn't scan colors precisely, so it picked up the old olive color a bit. I'm still playing with the scanner and getting colors closer to real life.
