I have recently returned from a 3 day craft camp. We stayed at a school camp (complete with bunk beds) set in the most beautiful nature reserve, with wonderful bush walks, native birds in the wetlands and stunning sunsets.........yeah well that is what the brochure said, we were too busy inside crafting our little hearts out.
Thirty women with a huge passion for papercraft and laughter spent a wonderful few days and nights creating all sorts of cards, scrapbook pages and off the page projects. We were all given the latest collection of papers and precut embelishments by Kaisercraft (Miss Empire), a large wooden peg (6 inches long) and some gorgeous ribbons. The challenge was to decorate it.
I decorated my peg as a camp "momento:. The little tags off to the left contain the names as each lady at the camp. I made an expanded sort of envelope for the back of the peg, and filled it with little gift cards made with left over paper.
There were some very little flowers in our kit and I didn't take my rolled rose dies so I hand-made the big flower on the right by cutting a 3" square of paper and cut it in a swirl.
Thank you for looking. Have a great week everyone.
EDIT: I have just learnt from my lovely friend Kathleen Lammie of Alabama, that a peg is called a clothespin in the USA. It never occured to me that a peg had another name, I learn something new every day here at SCS - LOL.

Wowza! This is the most fabulous creation I have seen for a long while! All those glorious details...there were so many of them I have probably missed some! I love your 'peg'! (here in Canada we have incorporated both the English and the US words) My Grama used to call them 'clothes pegs' so I knew what you were talking about! LOL

I have a name for wonderful creations like this, Susie. I call them, "Sweet Offerings". What a wonderful creative collage of craft camp memories. Love your post Susie. All the kids were at our home for Father's Day and were crowded around my bookcase looking at your card again. They just love it!
