I made my image panel smaller leaving a lot of white border to draw attention to the flower. The image is done with copics and then highlighted with a black watercolor pencil for the darker shading (which is another MIX20 technique for this week). I placed drywall tape over the entire image and used blue ink and a stipple brush for the screen effect (which I learned from Dina K's tutorial).
Thanks so much for taking a closer look, Hope you like it

When you said we chose the same card I had to check yours out. I love what you did and your sharp cotrasts. Don't you just love using drywall tape. It makes me feel "unfairly creative"

What an exceptional piece of work this is. You hare working on these techniques and the results are amazing. (I am still intimidated.) Your flower is beautiful and the use of the dry wall tape is done so well.

LOVE LOVE that screen effect in the bg, Barb. It is especially pretty with the text too. Your flower is shaded and colored beautifully. All to make an exceedingly striking card.

YAY - I love that drywall tape technique! So glad to see others using it. Love the contrast of blue and red, and the scripty background. Very well done - thanks for playing along!
