This is my husband's Father's Day card. I started by sponging the kraft card base with brown acrylic paint through the Crafter's Companion Harlequin stencil. When that dried, I offset the stencil and sponged with a cream acrylic paint (on opposite corners), a technique known as bumping. I sanded it lightly when dry and heat embossed several bg stamps over it, using Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and clear embossing powder.
The focal image is a wonderful 7gypsies patterned paper that I overstamped with a Hero Arts globe stamp, using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and Clear ep. I added some Black Soot sponging around the cut edges of the paper to match the patterned paper edges and mounted it on a piece of craft foam cut to size. He was very impressed!
As always, thanks for looking!

I am loving these fabulous masculine cards Jody!!! Okay this one might be my favorite! I LOVE the mix of travel stamps and your sponging around the edges is wonderful! I have stayed away from the "soot" color, but you have made it look so awesome, I may have to go out and get some! Very inspiring, wonderful collage, beautiful card, LOVE it all!!!
