The WT challenge today is to make a one-layer card. I happened to get a blog post from Ginger's House whose WordArt for the day read:
You never realize how WEIRD your friends are until you start to describe them to someone else.
Immediately I thought of my LKR stamps and what a FUN card I could make using those stamps and that sentiment. To make it one layer, however, I'd have to stamp/mask/color and then put it in my printer to add the sentiment, hoping it wouldn't mess up the card as it fed through or printed. After spending an hr or more on the card, I wasn't willing to take a chance that it would get "messed up." The PS sentiment was my second choice and it worked out good. BTW, I WILL use Ginger's WordArt on a similar card but it won't be a one-layer. It is just too perfect to use w/these stamps.
SO ... I die-cut a mask for the black sheep. Stamped him, let it dry (Versamark takes a minute!), masked it, stamped the flock (that image is a little distressed so it stamps much more faint), let it dry, left the black sheet mask and added the flock mask, then stamped the floral. Colored the flowers and water-colored the bkgrd. Colored the grass. Stamped the sentiment. Added the butterfly rub-ons. Sewed around edges. Added a few sequins. Mounted finished panel on a black card base. Just wish that darn flock would stamp a little darker but if it won't in Versafine black, it's not meant to.
THANKS FOR LOOKING!

Gabby, this is just delightful and put a big smile on my face. I love that flowery meadow you've created for your flock. And while this card is perfect as it is, yes - you've got to make another non one-layer one with that sentiment!! Double value from the challenge, a card today and inspiration for another one.

Lots of pretty flowers, sequins and who doesn't admire someone who's willing to be different! Sounds like you went through a lot of work to come up with this card, and it's just too sweet! Love the sentiment~
