My good friend Elise is losing her mom to cancer... we were fortunate enough to host Elise and her mom, Donna, last Thanksgiving, never knowing it would be the last time we would see Donna.
So this is a tribute to Donna's life, sent to her three daughters, Elise, Andrea, and Laura.
It is a step card, purple base with paisley dp and decorated with Starform turquoise border stickers. I used a Sizzix die cut for the bird, out of turquoise glitter paper, and Sizzix die cut for the two swirly branches from purple paper and then I used a purple pen to decorate the leaves. There are three flowers on the next step, one for each of her daughters, stamped and punched. The greeting on the top step, (out of focus) is Love and Hugs (CTMH) and With Heartfelt Sympathy (Verve) stamped on WW with Concord Crush ink. I added some pearls and gems for sparkle.
Rest in Peace, Donna. :)

My heart pours out to you, but am at least pleased that you enjoyed quality time at Thanksgiving. Your tribute is so stunning. Hugs to you during this difficult time.

I've never made a step card before. But may have to try one after seeing your beautiful creation. I hope your friend Elise and her sisters get much comfort from all of the wonderful teapotter cards. It's such a little thing to do for someone who is hurting so much. Thanks for bringing them to us.

So sorry about your friends Mother. I guess that's the thing. we never know how long any of us have so we must treat everyone as if it's the last time and as they say never leave angry or say things we don't mean.
