Wonderful challenge! For me, it really IS a challenge to only have one layer. Thank goodness Val said the one layer could be the one attached to the card front. Working on the card front is just too skeery to me. And after all the accidents I know would happen, I'd end up having the one layer anyway...so....
I started by stamping the fence w/ gray ink, masked the top & sponged in a few clouds & the sun. The lawn mower was stamped w/ black and the grass w/ several colors of green. Then I colored everything w/ Copics, added the sentiment & a little shading. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.

Oh, Julie, this is so beautiful! Love the sentiment - couldn't agree with it more! Ha! Your fence with the shadows from the sun shining through it is great. The grass is nicely colored too. A great one-layer (almost) card! Thanks for playing in my VSN challenge.
