So....you've heard excuses for tardiness? Here's mine.
When I saw this fabulous card.....I simply HAD to case it.....I think it's one of the most beautiful cards I've seen, Colleen.
The trouble was, I didn't have that gorgeous border punch (did you know it's been discontinued?). I will not bore you with the details of how I finally found the thing, but I did. It was online at a place I had never shopped before (and will never shop again). Because shipping is so expensive (especially from the States to Canada) I always try to order more so the shipping cost per item comes down. I spent hours on this site putting together a shopping list and AFTER I had done this and AFTER I had given them all my pertinent financial/shipping information THEN they told me they didn't ship to my address. But I REALLY wanted to make this card....so I kept looking and finally found one on ebay and ordered it and wound up paying more for shipping it than I did for the punch. Then of course, being in Canada, it took awhile to get here from the States.
I'm thrilled to have the punch, but I'm telling you when I started trying to make your card.....I just couldn't do it. It's a tricky card to make. I kept making SO many mistakes I pretty much lost the will to make the card at all. Then I started making the same mistakes over and over and over until I swear, I started to lose the will to live.
Anyway...I was determined.....so here it is.....(LOADED with mistakes) a testament to YOUR talent and my patience.....lol!
I hope you enjoyed your time as Feature Stamper.....much deserved....your gallery is lovely.

Okay, seriously, you are one DEDICATED woman! And can I say ... I love that about you! Such tenacity, such drive! You got your punch and is it ever gorgeous. Your CASE is divine and even more so because it definitely has your own distinct signature of elegance. A WOW creation for sure! This is like a Mastercard commercial (not sure if you got those commercials in Canada way back when) ... the punch: tons of dollars and an inordinate amount of time; the effort: way too much; the result: PRICELESS and beautimous!

Nothing like a dedicated stamper who wants "THE THING". Loved your account, Jo...and tenacity(not to mention deep pockets) : ) Your card and CASE is gorgeous and if there are mistakes I don't see them. Many happy years with your new punch! : )

LOL! I love your Why the Card is Late Tale! Isn't funny though, how we can see one project and become fixated on whatever items required to make that card?? Of course I cannot speak from experience... (cough cough). You did a lovely job casing Colleen and your card turned out beautifully-I see no mistakes, only dedication!

Had to laugh...been there done that! Nothing makes me madder than when the shipping costs more than the item.. Especially when I KNOW what the shipping really does cost for that item. I have actually written and complained and actually got a refund(once). Love how you stuck to it and got this beautiful case made. I think I have this border punch and have never used it (bad Peggy) but you may have inspired me to do so! I love your dp and your heart, flowers and pearls are the perfect embellishments!

Jo, what a story! I can't believe all you went through to get this punch. But, I don't see any flaws. I LOVE your choice of the dp and the layers are awesome along with the heart and flowers. What a great tribute to Colleen!

...and I am tardy commenting! LOL
Jo, I can't believe all you went through to get this punch! I did not know it is discontinued. You are tenacious, though, and so glad you managed to get your crafty hands on it.
I love how you created your tiers the way I did mine, and I love the little fancy heart paired with the flowers and sentiment tag. Thank you so, so, so, so much for honoring me with this card.
I had surgery last June (not far from the time you posted this card), and it's been a long recovery. Sapped a lot out of me, and I had to pare down my activities. I haven't been to SCS in an age, but am glad to have set eyes on your card. Thank you again, Jo!
