I always need Sympathy cards for my stash - so that's what I made today.
The card base is Soft Stone - a very light grey. I stamped the text stamp from Waltzingmouse several times on a white panel with Ranger Distressed Iced Spruce that also looks grey. I adhered a thin strip of brushed silver card stock to the top of the text panel than layered it onto the card.
I stamped the Sympathy from SU on a piece of vellum and adhered it over the text panel just along the top edge using some Vellum Glue Dots I have. Then I just added 3 silver pearls around the sentiment.
I love how this came out!
My town had it's Memorial Day parade this morning despite the constant drizzle - I was glad to see that quite a lot of people came out despite the bad weather - there was a moving ceremony in the section of the town cemetery where soldiers are buried - complete with taps, a 3 gun salute and a bagpipe rendition of Amazing Grace!

You card is so lovely and I can easily see your inpiration piece! I LOVE how you did the background!!! Very special for Memorial Day weekend. Thank you for sharing your town's honoring of the fallen. There is something about the bagpipes playing in the misty drizzle that seems apropos.
Beautiful card!
