When I saw this beautiful card in our Queen for the Day's gallery I stopped in my tracks and knew I just had to CASE this one! Emily aka Stamp Muse has a wonderful gallery; I hope you'll check it out and play along to honor her. I loved the rich colors on Emily's card and knew I had just the right piece of dp. I started by embossing my Medallion image in Early Espresso ep. I tried to add some texture by running this piece through my Big Shot over a piece of burlap. This ended up flattening out the shine on my Medallion image some. I used a border ef on the bottom and sponged with some Espresso to pull out the texture. I embossed the sentiment in Espresso ep. I also embossed my center piece in Espresso on Brushed Gold and punched this out and popped it up over the Medallion. I also added rough texture to my base with the Tulip Frame ef. On the inside I used a piece of Neutral patterns pack dp, stamped Happy Father's Day and added a strip of the dp to the bottom.

What a good idea to use burlap as an embossing tool! I must try that. Your creation is FABULOUS! I love the masculine feel with all your wonderful patters and texture. Some lucky dad is going to adore this. Thank you for playing and for your very kind words. Have a great day!

Beautiful Father's Day card, Gail. Love the medallion design on this dp and the warm brown tones are so appropriate for a man. Wonderful techniques in creating it.
