This is for Color Challenge 426 - Certainly Celery, Bermuda Bay and Regal Rose. I should have called this one Hawaiian Shores Hello, since I subbed PTI's HS in for Bermuda Bay (though if I hadn't said it I bet you never would have known). I also subbed Gina K's Innocent Pink for the Regal Rose CS (a bit more obvious), and used two Distress Ink markers to color my focal image (Worn Lipstick and Shabby Shutters). Still, in general this card is, for me, extremely challenge compliant. It's also uncharacteristically weighted towards the cute end of the scale. I chalk it up to the use of the color pallet to some degree but, honestly, that type font is what really tips it over the cute-ness edge, and while we're on the subject of fonts let me just say that what I find totally bizarre is that someone who complains that she doesn't like her handwriting so she won't hand-letter cards would go and BUY an expensive font set that looks like wonky handwriting. Who is this lunatic? Oh, it's me.
Thanks for looking!

Rachel, you are so funny! You had me laughing out loud! I agree that some of the color combinations can be pretty challenging, and when that happens I have learned to concentrate on just one color and sort of make the others subtle so they aren't a distraction to the image. Your ef definitely goes well with these playful flowers! I would consider this a very modern card~

I like what you did here...I don't think it's too cutsy..it does remind me of artist or trend but of course I can't remember what (the joys of getting old..you forget everything). That embossed bg is awesome..love the design elements with the 2 green flowers and then the one that is colored and the pink words...a really COOL card ;)
