Sandy(stampingwriter) was chosen by Trish to be the Queen this week. Sandy has a lovely gallery and provided inspiration for me for a graduation card. I chose this CARD with its stars and circle elements....I left off the mummy cat and broom. : )
I used the wax paper resist technique from BarbieP and used the idea Jennifer(mother's daughter) gave me in her comments yesterday to use Kraft CS. I did add sponged inks, but her idea gave me a lovely base. Thanks, Jennifer.
PearlX gold powder was brushed on to give the effect of a nebula after my sponging was done, but before I stamped and embossed the golden stars.
Congratulations, Sandy........enjoy your special week.

Wow Sallie...this is gorgeous. I have never tried wax paper resist but you sure make it look fascinating. The colours are gorgeous and it is such a beautiful way to honour Queen Sandy.

What a beautifully creative graduation card! Miles beyond the cap and gown ideas I would have come up with. Love all the different techniques, (thanks for documenting them) and that amazing stamp. Definitely a card to cherish. TFS

I love the gold and white ep's, Sallie, they create boldness to your images! And your sponging from dark to light (and those pretty colors) look amazing! Perfect sentiment for this creation~Oh.....and if this going to an aspiring astronaut-well, B-I-N-G-O!!!
