Today I saw this young girl skateboarding down the road with out a care in the world. At first I thought, what a punk!....skate boarding on the wrong side of the road with her head phones on. Then I thought, you go girl! Wish I could comfortably skate like that looking all cute in tennis shoes and dress listening to music. Oh to be young again....my card...
I have been drawn to mixed media and journals lately. So today I tried my hand at it sort of. Instead of a journal page I made a card.
Used the gelli plate, my most favorite tool. Sketched and cut out my girl coloring only her tennis shoes and socks. Added doodles everywhere.
Put this all on phone book page that I used to clean my brayer on. At the last moment I put the bird on it for fun. Seems like many of the craft emails I get say "put a bird on it". So I did. Then I put it on a gray card.
Well, that's it for today. Hope you like it....TFL :0)

Love your Gelli background - mine aren't turning out so well, but yours is making me think twice about tossing it in the trashcan, lol. Your sketching is always so awesome, and it is so cool that you colored just her socks and tennies! Another fantastic card - tfs!

So different to your usual style with the white image, Cathy - but so wonderful.
People cycling/skating with earphones scare me. I'm sure they must have more accidents. I think you need to be able to hear!
