This is my card for today's WT426 challenge. Michelle wants us to try something new-and she said anything is fair game. Mine would be the creating process and a step out of my comfort zone.
I don't usually create "artsy looking" cards. But, I love all the mixed media cards I have been seeing. I just haven't ventured there yet. So this could be a first step there with my "modern art" card.
To create my "faux artwork", I used the "distressed background stamp K94" from Great Impressions Stamps. I inked this stamp with melon mambo, daffodil delight and teal inks. I really like how it turned out.
For the sentiment, I used the stamp "life is art - E792" also from Great impressions Stamps.
My designer paper is from the Echo Park collection "sweet girl". I thought the paper had an artsy look to it and I think it worked perfectly for my art card.
I die cut an arrow just for a little trendy interest. Arrows are a popular trend right now in the crafting world. The music note is computer generated.
I also started off using last weeks MFT sketch for my layout but I couldn't get it all to work. So I will say that this layout is inspired by the sketch.

Mary, you truly created the look of sprays with your bg stamp...I wouldn't have known had I not read your description. You did a great job on creating an "artsy" card!
