Well, I couldn't let Saturday pass without creating a card for Queen Peggy. She has "Wowed" us all with her lovely die cut creations. In fact, her Madera Rose went "viral" on SCS didn't it!? At last count it has been favored 280 times with 6,520 views! Amazing!!
Peggy it is a beautiful card and worthy of all the praise. So, today I shall create a card based on Madera Rose Madera Rose by jasonw1 at Splitcoaststampers and call it "Cottage Rose". I know how much you love gardening and I'll bet you have some beautiful cottage roses.
I used Nestabilities 5x7 Enchanted Labels 28 for the hinged card base in a soft pink (I love Peggy's pink and ivory cards). I created my first cottage rose using Spellbinders Rose Creations (as well as three leaves) which I mounted on top of Elegant Scrollwork from Memory Box. Both were adhered to Flourishes Victorian Oval Template Die. I sponged some Antique Linen ink around and on the card itself. I wanted the card to look as if it had been found in an old letter/memory box. A little tag from PaperTrey Ink with the tiny sentiment: Love; a pretty stick pin, some beautiful seam binding tied in a bow, a little butterfly, and lastly ... a few flat pearls.
Congratulations Peggy, and thank you for all the love you bestow on all of us at SCS with your wonderful and generous comments. Here's some card love coming back to you!
Hugs,
Susie ~

Oh my goodness, Susie, this cream and pink creation is breathtaking! Oozing frameworthiness for sure...delicate die-cuts layered up in the most scrumptious way, and your bow with pin is out of this world. I reckon Queen Peggy is going to be over the moon!

This is gorgeous! Soft, creamy, pink goodness. I love the die-cut. It looks so vintage and lacey. Your rose is just beautiful too! I have that same spellbinders, but my roses are never this pretty. Oh well, practice, practice, practice. I better get in my craft room and start. Darn! LOL
