I knew I wanted to go to the seaside for Tammie's Beat the Heat VSN challenge. So it was great to pull out this lovely ODBD stamp for the first time - and use piercing so it would fit the current ODBD "Needle It" challenge.
I have to say that over here you're as likely to get into the sea to warm up from a cold wind . But I remember the wonderful bliss one year in Greece after we did a ten mile+ hike down from the top of a gorge to the sea in temperatures that were over 100F in the gorge, and when we finally got to the Libyan Ocean it was a wonderful way to cool down after that long trek!!
A2 base.
ODBD image stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with pencils, sponged with distress inks, Stickles on the foam, and Glossy Accents on the shells. I should really have used masking fluid on the foam but I was trying to fit the whole thing into the 45 minute time-frame for VSN. Matted on black, layered onto some BG paper. Piercing was done with a Spellbinders Borderabilitiesdie, and where there should have been little flowers in the embossing (which I didn't do), I added black gems to finish it off.
