This is one of two projects for the MIX14 challenge this week to create something new and different from what you usually do with at least two kinds of color medium. It also meets challenge F4A167, to stamp your omage and add texture using an embossing folder.
The title of my photo describes my feelings about this piece. It isn't a card yet because I'm not sure I like it well enough to give it to anyone - although some parts of it I really love!
I started by embossing a a 5x7 sheet of craft foam in the new Cuttlebug Bit Of Paisley folder, and basically using it like a Gelli plate. The bottom layer is turquoise acrylic; I touched bubble wrap on it for texture. Next layer is olive green acrylic touched with a piece of cs embossed with the same folder. Final acrylic layer is silver, which I got a little heavy-handed with. Texture on that layer was created with a piece of rubber anti-slip material.
I stamped the Stampendous Agapanthus Cluster in Colorbox Frost White, but it kept disappearing into the silver under certain light, so I overstamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with yellow ep. OMG - WAY too bright! I used a tile pattern stencil to daub some Picket Fence Distress Stain in some of the larger squares and then used Dusty Concord DS over the entire stencil. Better, but not enough. So I got out the black Staz-On and stamped Inkadinkado News Print over the entire piece. I had never stamped on top of embossing before. Interesting..
I embossed the piece in the same Paisley embossing flolder, but it was too much -again!, so I re-embossed with the Dotted Swiss ef and decided to quit while I was (hopefully) ahead.
As always, thanks for looking!

Maybe it isn't a card! That focal panel looks like a piece of art to me... Love it!

I love your description! It sounds like what I go through for some of the Mixability challenges. Your colored / textured panel turned out fantastic! I love the purple & blue with the bright yellow standing out, and the silver mixed in makes this a wonderful work of modern art.
