Here's my card for today's Mixability challenge "Modern Art", according to the definition that Birgit found, "includes a mixture of styles and movements of art". Part of the challenge was to use two mediums that we don't usually use. In my case, this was watercolouring with ink and craft pigment ink.
For the bg, I first wet it with water using a wide brush, then coloured part of the watercolour paper with Cameo Coral and pressed Red Brick and Real Red on other parts of the paper. I smoothed out the colours with water again. After the paper dried, I stamped the flourish and decorative border with white pigment ink.
Flower image: stamped on dp, tore edges and sponged with Distress Inks.
My combination of styles was vintage + whimsy (rick rack).

The colors used on this are incredible...just a great combination of red, white, and brown (would love to have that in the color challenge). Your delicate white images on the bg are so cool..a wonderful ying to the yang of the large flower...awesome card Becky!
