I tried making a purse, thought it wouldn't be too bad to do...Well then I wanted to be able to open it up and write in the inside..Well then I had to put the thinking cap on. I finally figured out something...
I put paper in the inside the same as the edge of the flap. Put one of those sticky square things under the flap and that's just enough to hold it and still be able to open it up...What do you girls use when you want it closed but still can open it up??
I used dp, and flower embellies, and scalloped punch for trim, and a ribbon for the handle...Who ever gets it I hope they get a kick out of it...

oh, love the color combo! It is a really cute purse, my friend had just made a purse card for my grand daughter and she used velcro dots to stick the flap down and it opened that way. I must make my cards open from the bottom. Yours is really pretty!

If you look at mine the shape is very similar -- I used magnets to keep mine closed. They are nice and small and flat so don't make the top stick out. I had to order them from a company in the US as we can't buy them here in NZ.
Love your wee purse

Pat, that looks just sweet, it's so pretty in those papers and with the scalloped flap.
I used magnetic snaps on mine, but if I'd had self-adhesive Velcro I'd have used that.
