With thoughts of The Kentucky Derby, today's WT is to create a card w/a horse. I had no horses except the Victorine cowboy silhouette, which I love but I've used recently. I decided to try to "make" a horse from some of my Paper Smooches stamps. Whatdaya think? I altered a goat body and used pigs ears to make it. Hee! Hey, I was stressing non-stop about my Mom, who is having surgery today and I totally needed to focus on something else for a while. Last night, my Mom forewarned me not to stress out and to keep busy. Okay, then. Now I can show her the card as proof that for at least an hour, I was obedient and did what she told me to do. Hee! I used yesterday's sketch challenge.
Note re BURLAP: I like this neat burlap that I bought at M's. It is sold as 12x12 "specialty paper." It has quite a tight weave, which makes it easier to cut than the loose weave burlap you can buy at a fabric store. Also, it doesn't fray near as much as the looser weaves do. And ... I did not use heat-n-bond on it.
3-Layer FRAME: I used my rectangle Nesties and MFT flag banner dies, to cut a three layer frame, then added the burlap over the top center panel.
This card was FUN to make and is pretty darn cute IRL.
THANKS for looking!
