In 1482, a sculpture of a horse was commissioned of da Vinci by the Duke of Milan. The sculpture was never created, due to the French army invading and destroying the clay model. It took more than five centuries for his design to come to fruition. One is in Milan, the other is at Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I have seen this sculpture and it is magnificent. That's why I bought this stamp.
I kept this card very simple, focusing on da Vinci's awesome design. I thought the quote apropos, considering that this design was abandoned. The background paper is a wonderful gold colored cs with metallic flecks. The photo doesn't do it justice. I do love to watch horse racing, try not to miss the triple crown races. I almost stopped watching a few years ago when that filly had to be put down on the track. I sure hope the horses love to be trained to run like the wind.

That would bother me to have to watch a filly being put down......I love the clean simple look of this card since it really does cause you to focus on the image and really take it all in~
