Shirley is our hostess over at CCEE Stampers now that it's (already!!) a new month. You can bet she has some fun challenges lined up, starting off with shimmer: you could do embossing with gold or silver, use glimmer mist, sparkly paint, add gems-the possibilities are just endless when you really think about it. If you get all shimmery and glimmery on your card, be sure to link it on the CCEE blog!
For me it was the perfect chance to pull out a new panda stamp - I've been looking for a panda for a long time and finally got this one from Stampendous.
A2 black base
Stampendous Ling Ling Courage stamped on white card, coloured with Twinkling H2Os (see inset in photo for a little more shimmer). Sponged with Antique Linen, layered on black.
White card coloured green with wrinkle free distress, then embossed with Darice Aspen ef inked with Versamark. Sponged with Perfect Pearls and misted, swiped lightly with ColorBox Harbour.
Faux metal coin - gold EP, Kodomo stamp. Mizuhiki cord.

What a pretty card and that little Panda is just adorable. I like the use of the H2O's. I didn't think about using them. I need to pull mine out and use them.

Sabrina, I love this image of your panda and the bamboo. I would certainly hate to think these beautiful bears would ever disappear. Thankfully, people are working to make sure that never happens. Thanks for showing the close up. I'm sure it is shimmering all over irl. Plus, I see you added a gold coin and gold cord for more shimmer. Beautiful card.

Your panda is adorable, Sabrina. And I like how you made your card very Asian, which the embossing folder (which might pass for bamboo) and the oriental coin.

That embossing folder does double duty! If you look at the negative, it's birch trees; if you look at the positive, it's bamboo! No matter how you look at it, the colors are fabulous and that little guys is adorable. Love your gold embellie. Gorgeous card, Sabrina!

Sabrina,
Your card is beautiful - the panda is wonderful! Your background you created and embossed is really lovely - and the colors are awesome. The coin was such a perfect embellishment!
