Today's Technique challenge is to make your own chevrons. I should have listened to myself and layered the two strips together for the cutting step as they're just different enough to not line up 100% correctly. I left a gap between them to try to help. I also ran them back through my Big Shot between blank plates with a paper shim to iron out the score lines-I still wound up with a faint line and then some squiggles from my scarred up pads so I decided to accent it a bit with craft ink. My sentiments were inked with Versamark then Island Indigo and embossed in clear. I cut my "dad" and popped it over an embossed ticket. I added a clip and ribbon in the corner and ticket punched the other corners. I never can seem to get those clips on without bending up my paper! Any hints?

"We grow too soon old, too late smart".......that's what my mother always said, and I know it's true for me!! I should have done it as well. Few places it's off. the result of your card is that it's wonderful for any Dad...love the ticket!!

Yeah, I noticed mine didn't line up perfectly either -- I ended up stacking/overlapping them a tiny bit to make up for it. I kind of like the score lines, however.
Nice masculine card and great colors

This is a great Father's Day card. I love those shades of blue and use night of navy and not quite navy often. I left tiny gaps between my chevrons for the same reason. I think it works!
