My dog passed away a 12 days ago and I have been heart broken. Since crafting is my therapy I decided to make a bunch of pet sympathy cards for my next craft fair in a few weeks. All proceeds will be going the animal shelter where he came from in his memory.
I printed the sentiment and the rest is easy I stamped a paw and embossed it in white embossing powder. Then punched it with the Martha Stewart paper heart punch and mounted it on black and white card. I added a small heart rhinestone in the corner to finish it off.

I can't begin to tell you how very sorry I am for the loss of your sweet dog. I know how heartbroken you must be. I know I will be inconsolable when I lose my sweet boys. What a wonderful tribute to him. Hugs, Curt

I am so sorry for the loss of your much loved dog. If I can suggest reading the book Dog Heaven by Cynthia Rylant - it is a children's book that I read to my girls when our dog died and they were young. About 2 years ago our Yellow Lab died very unexpectedly and though the girls are now grown we took the book out and read it again. Part of it says how God lets them sit on couches and they get to eat ice cream and ham sandwiches -not together - unless that's what they want :). Though we were sad, it made us smile to know that Kiki was enjoying her new life.
