My card for today's Mix-ability Challenge - to draw or doodle, and for today's Free for All - to use a handwritten sentiment! When I showed my son my sweet friend Dina's beautiful sample for today's Mix-ability challenge, I asked "I know she's fabulously talented, but how does she do that?" and he said "she's not afraid." It's part of his journey as a creative person headed to Art College next year to "let go", not worry about other people's expectations, messing up, etc. and just CREATE! So that's where my sentiment came from today, written on watercolour paper and popped up. I sponged the watercolour paper, watercoloured loosely some flowers, sprayed it with water, let it dry, drew in some lines and dots with a fine line marker, then added a doodled frame. It was fun, thanks Jeanne and the Mix-ability team!

Bridget, this is wonderful. I love watercoloring, something I haven't done in a long time. And the sentiment is great, your printing is so neat. Mine is NOT.
Glad you took your son's advise and had the "courage" to do this card. Love It.

I am packing a picnic basket, my Bible, my paints, and my poppy field and coming to sit in this meadow with you! Treasuring your son's words still. Courage, dear friend!

This is so, so pretty Bridget!! I love the sponging and the watercoloring. Green and blue look so awesome together. Your flowers look so free and happy. It's neat that you and your son got to communicate about art.
