Whitewashing Technique #1
Added to Favorite
xxxx

Photo Details
Poster: mother's daughter

I wanted to try a bunch of ideas I had to use and or do with whitewashing. For this card I did the whitewashing in the usual manner, with pigment ink and the aqua brush. There are only 2 flowers that were colored with Tombow markers, a yellow one and a pink one. I then used a Sakura glitter pen over the ink and directly over the whitewashing.
You can see on the flower colored with pink, that the center yellow part has started to pill due to getting to wet. This is a problem that comes with the aqua brush whitewash technique. So onto to exploring other methods for whitewashing which is card #2.

I do love how the glitter pen stands out with this whitewashing technique, directly over the whitewashing or over the both.

Give these techniques a try and see which one you like best. They all have their own look and use!

Beautiful technique, Jennifer, I've been thinking of trying white embossing again and this beauty just might tempt me to get that messy stuff out again! :) Love the soft, delicate colours against the craft and the big, bold flower stamped repeatedly!
