I've been doing various Christmas card challenges out in blog land to keep me making Christmas cards all year long. This week the theme for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown is Santa so I made this card of Santa flying his sleigh over an old medieval city.
I stamped in black on white cs and then carefully sponged around the moon, the buildings, and Santa with a couple of shades of blue ink. I cut it in four and mounted it on black cs to give a quick idea of looking out a window, and then mounted that on a dp with silver stars on it to reflect the stars in the stamped image. I went over the stars in the image with a Stardust gel pen to give them some glitter.
It's also for my May quota for the SCS Christmas Card Challenge.

Fabulous card Susan, I adore Santa flying over the medieval buildings and the starry background paper is perfect! Love how you've made it look like a window too! Thanks so much for joining us at 52 {C}CT, please come back soon! Ruth x

Oh this is super! I love the starry sky and Santa in his sleigh! I remember looking out the window when I was a kid trying to catch sight of Santa!!! Thanks so much for playing along with 52CCT this week!

you know, until I read the words I thought you had found a horizontal window die to put the image behind. I'm really impressed you can line up those pieces of the image. ( Mine always go wonky when I try this)
