I loved this pretty split panel card from this Week's Queen for the Day AnniePanda. I hadn't had a chance to play in this week's mixability challenge to use colors from one side of the color wheel with a pop of color from the other side and liked the way JoyceAnn had done that in her card as well. I also decided to try a different ribbon treatment for today's technique challenge to use scraps and loops of ribbon. I embossed my silhouette in Early Espresso on Pool Party and the verse in Pewter. I sponged a bit of Soft Suede in the corners and then used a silver marker on the edges before framing in Espresso. My ribbon is two scraps of polka dot ribbon stapled onto a piece of satin ribbon. My butterflies are diecut from a piece of glossy paper inked with the wrinkle free distress technique using homemade shimmer spray instead of water.

Such pretty colors, and I love that creative ribbon treatment! Thank you Gail for making my reign as QFTD so special.
