It's my turn to host the Mix-Ability challenge this week! This week I want you to play mostly on one side of the color wheel, then give your project a POP of color from the other side.
This was a super fun project, because I used my own stamp designs! I had some time to just create for fun, and sat down with my stamps from last summer's CHA release - I design a lot of my stamps with mixed media and art journaling in mind, and I really love how these bird stamps work together in that way. I used acrylic paints, Colorbox Fluid Chalk inks, and Versafine Onyx Black ink, plus a little black hemp, drywall tape, and newspaper for dimension. The bird head is a handcut stencil that I tucked away to use on other cards and canvases.

This is SO fabulous!!! How awesome that you made your own stamps and used them. I love the big orange bird and then the blue one sitting on top of it. What a cool design. This looks like it should be framed. You really have some great artistic talent!!

There is so much to love about this canvas. Yes, even a card can be a canvas. I love the colors and the repetition of images. It truly is a work of art!

SO beautiful! The echo of the bird in the BG and foreground is wonderful! Great mixed media piece! Love it!
