I thought I'd make this a quick card, but it was one of those days when numerous steps just didn't work out and I had to go to plan B! Had it all completed then said "ick"...I should have used a melon mambo or eggplant ribbon instead...but there was no undoing the foam tape at that point.
I created this for three different challenges:
Color Challenge on SCS - Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant, River Rock
Flourishes' Timeless Tuesday Challenge - Frame it
Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge - sketch
I brayered Elegant Eggplant and Melon Mambo ink on the embossing folder, then ran it through my Big Shot. I die cut a square Nestie inside a Wonky Rectangle Nestie for the frame. I cut the tulip outline using a cut file on my Silhouette then stamped Flourishes' tulip image from their Tulips for Friends set and colored with Copics. The sentiment is from the Magnolias set - also by Flourishes. The card base is Elegant Eggplant thought it tends to look black in the photo.

I like this. Your embossed panel is so cool. And I sure know what you mean about the eggplant. It is so intense in color, it almost does look black.
