This is my attempt at this week's Mix-Ability challenge to Frame it. We were asked to use the negative from a die cut to either frame or as a stencil on our card. I have created the background panel by using sponging with two circle dies.
This is also for April's Fan Club Central Theme "Hope Floats". DH and I have made several trips to the Hawaiian islands and always during the whale migration. The humpback whale spends their winter in the warm waters around the islands calving. The calves cannot stay beneath the water for very long. So, you see many Moms "Floating" on top of the water with their calves. This sweet MelJen Designs digital image "Mama Whale" reminds me of our trips!
Thanks for taking a closer look and reading my morning ramblings!

Beautiful. What a sweet image for mother's day, and I really like the circle background in the watery blue colors. Great job, and thanks for playing along with our challenges!

Lovely Mother's Day card - the soft stenciled BG is nicely echoed in the round image frame and also reminds me of underwater bubbles! Sweet!

This is a sweet Mother's Day card. I love your stencil background too! That's such a neat story about your trips to Hawaii ANC the mommy whales! TFS and playing in the MIX11 challenge!
