As well as SU's Happy Camper set I do have Fred Bear goes Camping, but I thought that using the hiking Fred Bear would still work perfectly for this week's TPT challenge (no golf stamps in my collection) and would also tie in very well with the Scripture I chose to use.
5 3/4" square base, sponged round the edges with Spiced Marmalade and stamped with CAC Craquelure in Versafine Olympia Green.
TPT card:
Image panel is watercolour paper: Happy Camper trees, inked with Versafine Olympia Green, brown marker.
MFT's Fred Bear Takes a Hike, masked, coloured with distress inks ~ vintage photo, brushed corduroy, gathered twigs, crushed olive. Then the foreground and sky were sponged in with peeled paint, tea dye and tumbled glass.
Verse from ODBD's Scripture Collection 6 stamped with black, compass and boot prints are from the MFT set.
I remembered a camp-out story I could tell. Way back when we first got married DH lost his job and we were pretty broke for a few years. When he did get a job with a company car, we couldn't afford to head to the sun, but we met friends who had been camping down in the south-west with their family, and borrowed their smaller tent. Never set it up before - first night was dark and windy. Well, we did get it up, but when we moved on the next day and set it up properly by daylight it was about twice the size . You'd think we'd have learned...no. Fast forward a few years and we borrowed a chalet tent from the same friends and took it to France. Did we try setting it up while we were staying with friends there. No...we left their house and headed south-ish and there we were, hot, grumpy, bad-tempered, me with a sick stomach and trying to set up a complex tent.
After that we DID learn, last time we camped we set the tent up here first .

Sabrina how cute is this! I like the footprints left behind. The trees and your sponging are all done so nicely. I love the scripture. It tells of the power of our God. Thank you for making this for David. I'm sure it will be very loved. Oh and the snail on the backpack is adorable. Super image.
