For the base of the card the crackle rubber image was inked up using Faber-CastellÂ’s white StamperÂ’s Big Brush Pen . Once stamped it leaves a raised texture. Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink was used to ink distress the edge.
The Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting was used to cut the borders to the designer paper. The 1/6” ruler was used for the white borders and the 1/8” rule for the top and inside rust borders, the ½” ruler was used to cut the bottom rust border which allowed enough space to punch the Martha Stewart - Cornice Edge border and also emboss a line above the punched design using the Scor-Pal – this cracked the paper showing the white core and I helped that distress look along with the finger nail.
The rick-rack ends were tape to the back of the panel.
The letters were cut with a Sizzix die and glued to the panel with AleeneÂ’s tacky glue.
The faux brads were cut using the Cuttlebug -Tiny Tags die, after gluing to the card AleeneÂ’s Paper Glaze was applied for a glossy rounded effect.
The image petals and leaves were colored using Faber-Castell Watercolor Pencils. These pencils are so easy to work with and do such a nice job of blending. They come in packs of color groups so the guesswork at matching colors is no longer a problem and each pack also comes with a fine quality artist brush.
The flower centers were first colored around the edge with the dark purple watercolor pencil then the black StamperÂ’s Big Brush Pen from Faber-Castell was added for a darker color around the edge and finished off the center with a gold watercolor pencil. In real life itÂ’s easy to see the hint of purple and the black looks more brown than black after the gold was applied over it. This procedure let the stamped lines show through.
Both panels and the flower were popped up using Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Squares.

I LOVE your card! The colors and layout with that pretty sunflower front and a little off center! What a lot of steps you took to achieve this lovely card, so worth it, but I don't have your patience! TFS!
