This page was made for the April 2013 Creative Crew Holiday Focus: to make a project for the men in our lives using a non-masculine set or by trying a new technique.
I saw the new digital download this week called Follow Your Bliss and I knew I needed to make a page for my son with it. It is also VERY feminine - so flowery!!
I also used a new technique in MDS playing with the photo effects tool, specifically the gamma correction and black and white. I also changed the opacity of my photos. I'm pretty pleased with how this masculine page turned out - despite the Calypso Coral (which is also a color I have to challenge myself to use) on a masculine SPORTS page! I also added some elements from Game Day digital photobook kit, Back to School photobook kit, and Slam Dunk stamp set.
My sketch came from Scrapbooks, Etc magazine December 2011 p94.
Thanks for looking

Terri...awesome as always! I love how you "framed" the journaling and used black for the balls. You have just enough non-masculine touches that they don't overwhelm the page. The coral works well and the black background is just right. You aced both parts of the challenge!

Another awesome page. I bought this same download but specifically for some wedding invitations that I'm going to put together. Now you've got me thinking about using it for other things. Thanks for the inspiration. Love what you did with your photos too.

I just love your layouts! The way you did your photos is so cool - love the mix of color and b/w photos - and how you changed the opacity. Fun digi kit... need to add it to my wish list!
