This is for Mixability Challenge 10 - making flowers out of hand-cut circles and adding sparkle in some form. My flower circles were cut from two wrinkle-free distress pieces I did in a lighter and darker shades of reds, pink, and oranges, with an embossed flower center on each. Then I distressed the edges, darkened them with Aged Mahogany, and smeared on some Fruit Punch Stickles - they were the only glittery thing I had, thrown on a recent order just out of curiosity and, gee, they really are fun, I think there are going to be more Stickles in my future! The leaves are also embossed on a wrinkle-free distress piece done in greens. BG is the IO Cover-A-Card Flourishes stamp in Versamark, sentiment done in gold EP and then I did the underline using a Versamark pen and more gold EP. Tied some copper organza ribbon and a knot.
All stamps (other than the BG) from PTI sets.
It was hard to get a picture showing the sparkly-ness of the flowers. But it's there.
Thanks for looking!

You did a wonderful job combining all those elements and techniques. I think the bg adds elegance to the card and I really like the oversize flowers and leaves.

How gorgeous! It reminds me so much of a jigsaw I picked up in Barcelona. I forget the name of the artist, but it was a cat and big red/pink orange poppies and lots of gold edging and highlights. I can see some of the sparkle in the flowers - and while Stickles are definitely fun to use, it's NOT fun to try to get a photograph that shows them as good as they are in real life.
This is one for my Favourites . And I see you have a few more in your gallery I haven't seen yet, but it's time for me to shut the PC down. I'll be back!!

Those flowers are incredible!! The red with the black centers is bold and bright but combined with your stickles they are really something special. Now for those leaves..that color of green on the edges almost glows and is such a fabulous compliment to the flowers...GREAT job Rachel!!

What a FABULOUS card!!! Your flowers are so cool! They are a beautiful color, or mix of colors rather! Your leaves contrast perfectly with the lines and pointy ends! Really SUPER creative and cool card!!!
