This is my first-ever shaped card! I was inspired by several blog challenges, and at first I was not going to attempt it. However, thatΒs what challenges are all about, so I decided to give it a try. It was especially challenging for me since I donΒt own a die-cutting machine, so I downloaded the flower template from about.com, printed it, and cut it out by hand. I am very happy with the outcome. This cheery card is for my Mom Β I know she will love it! Here are the challenges I am entering:
Desert Islands Crafters Challenge
DICC51 Β Use at least 3 items from itinerary Β I used:
1 - Make it colourful Β mine certainly uses lots of bright colours!
5 - Something home made Β I made the flower card base myself.
6 Β Shiny Β I used rhinestones.
10 Β Sentiment Β see sentiment. http://desertislandcraftschallenge.blogspot.ca/

Your card looks great! and especially since it isn't die-cut. You'd be amazed at the variety of shaped cards you can make with die-cuts. Borrow someone's machine or get the Cuttlebug with a coupon or better, the Big Shot - with a coupon or on sale. Have fun!
