Oh MY! What an absolutely wonderful site to-day. My head is so full of inspiration it's about to pop off! I had a heck of a time trying to make up my mind but finally settled on this little beauty http://eglantyne.shop-pro.jp/?pid=34878379 . The background folder is from SU and the frame is a spellbinders I picked up a couple of weeks ago from Mike's ..on sale..love it! Being a needleworker my eyes couldn't stop looking ..never mind that I couldn't read a word! LOL I used a piece of antique Filet lace from my collection as background. The tiny rose I tatted using very thin silk thread. The ribbon is from Martha Stewart and the greeting is good old Mike's $1.50. The tag is metallic paper from Mike's again...where would I be without him!

I know what you mean about all the beautiful needlework on this site. This is lovely Sue. Your bg lace is wonderful for that ornate spellbinders fame and how about tatting your own rose..that's so pretty and creative!

Sue, this is incredible on many levels. A beautiful card to start with, but your tatted rose blows me away! Obviously, you are a multi-talented gal. The filet lace and pretty ribbon all go so wonderfully with your soft, aged look.

Beautiful tatting, Sue!! What a wonderful and beautiful treasure for whomever gets this beautiful card!! Too bad you're in Canada, I'd adopt you for my Grandmother! Oh how I loved to sit with her and watch her work wonders with shuttle and thread, and I treasure all the beautiful pieces I have!

Oh my, I am so envious..... I crotchet, some knitting, cross-stitch, piece quilt tops and etc, but I have never been able to figure out tatting and have always wanted to do it sooooo badly... I think that it is so beautiful, the lady I stayed with at night as a teenager, tatted and I would watch and fell in love with it, but could never figure it out... This is such a beautiful card, love the embossed background, but the dark die cut with the tatting really pops on this one.... Thanks so much for sharing....
