I am trying to branch out a bit and make some different items for the store where my card rack is located. This is based on today's sketch challenge sketch. I love this stack of paper that I picked up at a thrift store a while back (I've already made one piece of wall art from it before!). I took the patterns paper and cut a Gumball Green backing for it then I sponged the same and some Island Indigo around the edges and on the paper. I cut my oval shaped gal and an Indigo oval behind her. I used some Pumpkin Pie and Riding Hood Red to sponge the edges. I put a little of the same around my "nice threads" and then glued that to a punched piece that I embossed in the Houndstooth ef. I cut my bottom sentiment and notched the end then sponged with Gumball and Indigo. This is adhered with a slight bend in the center. I made my three strips from the sketch with rick rack in Peach and Gumball, a piece of measuring tape dp sponged with Pumpkin and the wavy border cut dp sponged with Gumball. I added 3 wood buttons in the corner. The wooden plaque was a very light wood so I took some lacy double fold bias tape (also a thrift store find) and glued it around the edges. Don't know whether it will sell, but I like it!

Gail, I'm a huge fan of retro cards and I LOVE this - wonderful, it looks like it could be sitting right there on Grandma's dressing table - fabulous work!
