I wanted to create a card for the SplitcoaststampersÂ’ New You Can Do It (YCDI) #11 Challenge to use something that is recycled on your card.
My husband and I have recycled for years and while it has definite pros, there are a few cons of which, I tend to procrastinate on getting rid of the paper. Our shredder died a few years ago and I do not like recycling anything that has any personal information (without shredding it firs), I now have to "shred" by hand.
Since I also work in accounting, needless to say, paperwork is the last thing I want to do at home (unless of course it is cardmaking :-)).
The other day, I was tackling a box of mail that needed to be “shredded” and came across a Christmas card that we had received a few years ago (I told you I am behind). I liked the scene and the retro feeling to the colors, so I decided to rescue the card from the recycling bin and "upcycle" into a new Christmas card:-)
Since it is Christmas, it will also qualify for the CCC13 Christmas Card Challenge.
I hope you like this recycled/upcycled card :-)

Lovely "upcycled" card (and I love your word "upcycled"). The colours are so pretty and it looks great layered on the coral and the embossed background.
