For the Inspiration challenge I used the colors from this bag to create the background for the poppies. Also in general I saw lots of poppy and yellow items that helped with inspiration.
Copic markers for coloring: YR09,04, Y38,18,17,15,11, C7,6,5,3, G29,28,24
To create the background for the poppies I first heat embossed the Abstract backgrounder image with black powder then Faber-CastellÂ’s metallic Gelatos was applied using the blueberry and mint. These look like lipstick tubes which is rubbed on the paper then I used a wet wipe to blend it into the paper.
On the Kraft layer which is dry embossed with Stampin UpÂ’s Square Lattice folder I rubbed on the blue Gelatos with a dry wet wipe and did the same with the insert and envelope but with both colors.
The Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting was used to cut the borders. Use any brand craft knife or rotary cutter for cutting. A tutorial video can be found on the company site. I used the 1/16” and the ½” but butted the ruler up to the embossed panel for the wider cut so I’d have a 1/8” black card base border.
The flowers are fussy cut then popped up using Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Foam Squares. To insure the adhesive stays stuck, I punch or die cut ½” holes through the heat embossed layer so the pop stays stuck to a cardstock layer. I’ve had them come loose in the past on heat embossed layers – depending on the design.
Tool distressing was done with a Tonic paper perforator and fingernail.
The gems are attached with Paper Glaze and I used the left over to attach the Cheery Lynn butterfly. I find this works better than tacky glue when embossing powder is involved. That butterfly also has color added with the mint Gelato and dry cloth and the gems are self sticking.

Such a beautiful color combo-love your bg and thanks for the suggestion on punching through to adhere the flowers to the base-I've had things fall off when the bg is rough.
