Okay!! I have fallen in love with this set. I don't know how many more times I'm going to have to do it before I get it out of my system. I got the idea to do this scene with trees from a card I did last night for the LSC challenge. I hand drew the trees limbs with my blender pen and then used a stamp from watercolor minis to do the leaves. I used the same stamp to do a little grassy look on the ground area and then painted with my aqua pens to spe=read the color. I started out making this to go with Apricot card stock but the ink is so vivid it matched much better with the More Mustard. I normally would not have picked this color for such a soft little card but it looks pretty to me. I sponged the background area around the little scene with Barely Banana and then used my cloud template (I just love that thing) and Bashful to make the sky. The bunny and lamb look a little dull as I sponged White Craft ink after I painted. I was going for a little more white look but it wasn't a good idea and I won't try it again. I used the flower stamp in the set to make the background on the frame and even over the top of Canvas on the Olive. I've been trying lately to make my own backgrounds out of the set I'm using so I can show customers how to be creative and not have to purchase everything all at once. This was very fun for me.

Kittie, this is absolutely beautiful. I agree with you about the colors, I love using contrasting colors, i.e., soft picture, bold frame, it's just gorgeous! The little bouquet in the upper left corner completes this card. Perfection!

This is so cute. I love it. But you know, you have to be somewhat of an artist to do your own background out of stamps you already own .... and you, my dear, are an ARTIST! This should win some sort of award, don't you think?
