I love the new Mix-Ability challenges as they really get me outside of my comfort zone! The latest one is called "Splatter-ific" - use any medium to make a splatter.
I started out with Twinkling H2Os and tried to do a few splatters with it but got more lines than splatters (the more turquoise parts of the background). But I liked what I had so thought I'd to it with Glimmer Mist spray, but rather than aiming for a fine cover of glimmer, I pressed down harder than I normally would on the nozzle. My first attempt with the lighter blue got me big blobs (bottom righthand corner and top centre) but my second attempt with a darker blue got me a lovely splatter on the left.
I let it dry and then added the dragonflies in black and trimmed it down. When I stamped my sentiment directly on the panel, I got a big smudge but I had a piece I'd trimmed off so restamped and cut out the sentiment with a little Spellbinders tag, ran the black ink around the edge, and attached it with a black brad.

I LOVE your splattered twinkling background for your stamped dragonflies. All perfect Susan. I am off to upload my splatter card. Sure a fun technique. TFS my friend..
