I decided it would be nice to have little tags of the SU! cardstock in my purse so that I could be sure to colour match when I'm at the craft store. This is what I came up with.
Each piece of cardstock was run through my inkjet printer in order to have the name printed on it. Each tag was then puched out before they were all assembled onto this spare key ring I had laying around. Unfortunately, I only have Soft Subtles and Bold Brights, so that's what is contained on the ring. If I ever branch out into other colour families, I could just add them later.
I put this little ring in a small baggie before storing it away in my purse. The baggie will hopefully save it from too much abuse!

I've made one before, But I think I am going to redo mine. I like using the tag punch and running it thru the printer. My handwriting is not all that great. And I never even thought to keep it in my purse. That is a Great Idea!!!

I have also seen these on ebay but they have all the ordering #'s for that color. Ink, paper, marker ect..
great idea...I have customers that love it because they can see the color and touch the paper
great idea to keep in your purse
Great idea! I do sort of the same thing for my inks. I use one small stamp and on a small recipe sized piece of cardstock I stamp all my colours with the same stamp and label them. It is easier to hold up my 'inventory' card next to my artwork to see which colour works best than digging out all my stamp pads separately. Now i'm gonna borrow your idea with the cardstock! Thanks!
