OH I had tons of fun getting all gooey with gesso, paint and ink! I started with wadding the newsprint and inking all the peaks and misting valleys before adding gesso...hmm that hid the newsprint look before I got started.
But moved on with adding textured newsprint to base. Adding more color, more paper. Stamped bird and branch on clean newsprint. The sentiment is stamped on a recycle envelope...it looks like bird tracks prints in the snow LOL. I added Inky Gold to the textured areas to bring attention to the details. (sorry pretty IRL)

Great texture and color! I know what you mean about messy-my hands had just recovered from the last inky project and now I've got spritzed reinkers on them again!

This is gorgeous and it sure does look like a lot of fun! I haven't tried the mix challenges yet but you sure did inspire me to try with that fabulous background you created! Beautiful card!
