For 2 challenges: First to honor our newest queen-Darla AKA (DJRants). I loved browsing through your delightful gallery and noticed lots of flowers and birds, so I chose this pretty card to case: Yellow Spring Bird by DJRants at Splitcoaststampers This is totally not my style so it took way longer than usual to create, but I had fun with it. Also for today's F4A: Eyelets, and I had to use my Punch & Setter with Paper Popper! Ha ha! I stamped my bird in Basic Brown, colored with Blender Pens and ink pads and sponged with Bordering Blue before taking out of the nestie. I added pumpkin dp, close to cocoa and more mustard dp then popped it all up. Used the bird punch for the leaves, flower fusion and tiny flower punch sponging each edge and adding banana eyelets to each. Sponged around the senti. and scallop punch and large scallop circle, ran the saffron dp through Big Shot using polka dots ef. Thanks so much for stopping by today, and DJ, enjoy your royal week! ~Roberta

I love your bird image, Roberta. The card is gorgeous and love the eyelet flower centers. I had to get out my Cropodile for some eyelets earlier in the week. :-)

Talk about clever use of eyelets, Roberta!! ; ) Your flower centers are what's clever and creative. A darling card. When I think of DJ's cards, I think of lots of little people and birds as being frequent subjects of her designs. Your sweet bird is PERFECT....and do well done!

How beautifullly done with those layered flowers, Roberta - lovely eyeletted centers! And such pretty colors together! I really like this darling bird - a chubby little songbird that goes so well with the flowers. This is a wonderful tribute to DJ!

A lovely card to honor the Queen this week! Loved you story, Roberta! Thanks for sharing! We usually like the part of the country we know and have a hard time adjusting to anything different! All parts of this gorgeous country are beautiful in their own way! Happy to hear that you got to go back to the luscious east coast. Everytime I visit the east coast I come home wanting to plant flowers everywhere, but they would just burn up in our hot summers. Here in TEXAS we have every kind of landscape you could imagine! Dry and arrid also humid and lush but all wonderful especially to the folks raised in them!
