Phew - 6 times I uploaded this, finally he seems to have flown to his perch.
Yesterday's sketch - as soon as I saw it, I saw the circle as an aperture. I prepared one out of embossed white card, but once I'd done my bird he needed a woody setting, so I see another card on the way!
A2 base, sponged with Vintage Photo. Base layer was wrinkle free distress (forest moss, mowed lawn, peeled paint) cover-stamped with Cover-a-Card Greenery in Mowed Lawn. I added ribbon and a waxed paper strip of Dizzy Border. TH Woodgrain ef, with Tea Stain, Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap.
Young Vermilion stamped on Cryogen white and coloured with distress inks - Old Paper, Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, Gathered Twigs.
For today's WT challenge I added piercing on both the panels in all four corners. Easier to see in the woodgrain layer because it's popped up.

What a great card! Love the knothole effect in the wood grain panel and the way you anchored the branch of the Young vermillion within the hole. Pretty, pretty, pretty! TFS

Wow! I have this stamp and have never been happy with anything I have done with it. Love this! He looks so comfortable perching in his hole. This would be a great card for a guy. TFS
